Day 7: Favorite Vacation

I already covered this one in my "picture that makes you happy" post. But I can't tell y'all enough how much fun I had in Key West.

We planned the trip in January or February of 2010. We were so excited to go, and then the oil spill happened in the Gulf of Mexico, and I was sent to Alabama to work for a month. I came home from that trip a week before our honeymoon. We were so scared I wasn't going to make it home in time. And we were slightly scared that the oil would impact the beaches there (which was silly media hype- I should know better!)

When we got to Key West, we got on some bikes and never stopped riding! We rode around the island at least once a day. We'd get up and eat breakfast at the hotel, we'd ride down to Mallory Square and the "downtown" area. We'd come back and nap and swim, and ride back out for the sunset.

I swear neither of us wanted to leave Florida. But reluctantly we returned to Louisiana. And a little over a month later, we found out that I was pregnant!
